User Agreement
1. Agreement
By checking User Agreement on the first-run screen and tapping Continue, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Waytxt. The Privacy Policy is a separate document and also applies.
2. The app
Waytxt is a local tool for photographing or importing text, correcting recognized wording, and filing bilingual cards on this iPhone. There is no public feed and no Waytxt account server in this version. Cards stay on this device unless you save an image to Photos.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Waytxt on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as Apple’s terms already allow.
4. Inks and purchases
Inks are a consumable balance stored on this iPhone. Filing one bilingual card uses 1 Ink. Capture, Library, crop, text review, preview, and saving a card to Photos do not use Inks. Preview is free.
Inks are sold as consumable In-App Purchases through Apple. Packs are listed in Shop as Inks 1 through Inks 8. Purchases cannot be restored to another device. Unused Inks stay on this iPhone until you spend them, delete the account in Me, or remove the app. Refunds, if any, are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
If you have fewer than 1 Ink, you can still capture, import, and preview. You need Inks only to file the card.
5. Your content
You are responsible for the photos and text you bring into Waytxt. Do not scan material you are not allowed to copy or store. Waytxt does not claim ownership of your photos or wording. There is no community posting in this version.
6. Translations
Recognized text and translations are provided to help you read what is in front of you. They may be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on Waytxt as the only source for legal, medical, safety, or official documents.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Waytxt to break the law, to infringe other people’s rights, or to attempt to disrupt Apple’s purchase system. Voice input is only for correcting the source line on the review screen.
8. Availability
Camera, Photos, microphone, speech recognition, and tracking are requested only when you tap the matching control. If a permission is off, the matching action is unavailable; other actions still work. Camera unavailable does not switch Capture into Library.
9. Log out and delete
Log Out returns you to the ready screen and keeps local data on this iPhone. Delete Account removes local cards and remaining Inks on this device. This cannot be undone. Images already saved to Photos are not removed by Delete Account.
10. Disclaimer
Waytxt is provided “as is.” To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted use, and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for lost photos, lost Inks after you delete the app, or decisions you make based on a translation. Some regions do not allow certain limitations; in those regions the limit is the maximum permitted by law.
11. Changes
We may update this agreement. The current text will be published at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
